I imagine something like a Honda F22C would work pretty well

Coyote or Voodoo.

Think of a swap that would enrage Porsche purists and I’m sure the same swap would enrage Corvette purists.

12A carburetor rotary.

wouldn’t any swap enrage a Porsche purist?

May as well piss everyone off. 2.3L EcoBoost.

That’s an FWD motor..

The S2000 is RWD.

Now I want a C5 and a Duramax......
![]() 08/22/2016 at 19:45 |

How about a couple of forklift motors?
![]() 08/22/2016 at 19:46 |

Motherfucker, how DARE you say that shit!! I will personally rip your god damned throa...
*deep breaths*
Sorry. Don't say that, though.
![]() 08/22/2016 at 19:48 |

That one would enrage general fans. The lighter engine but way less powerful? The S2000 is already RWD as well? It doesn’t seem worth it.

Don’t worry, I would never own a Corvette, at least before I’m 60. I’ve got nearly 40 years to go. My go to swap that I want to do eventually is a 3-4 rotor in a true 1969 Camaro SS 396 car, just to give the geriatrics at the usual muscle car show heart attacks.

Mmmmmmmhhhmmm. I’m going to have to ask you to let me know when you get it, mmkhay? Thanks.

A Voodoo Corvette would be incredible, though. The C7 Z06 that never was.

I plead the fifth.

The LT in general would be best swapped out.

Boosted LM7 with a 4L80E in a C5. Hear me out. It’s an actual truck motor (Corvette people hate being told Corvettes have truck motors), and since it would have both a traditional transmission AND a transaxle in the same car, you can use all six of the rear gears in either low, 2nd, 3rd, or drive of the 4L80E, giving you a total of 24 available gears, selectable via both a stick shift on the floor, and a column-shift automatic. You’re welcome.

glad to walk into that for you.

1NZ-FXE. With the P112 transaxle. In the front. Driving the front wheels. Stick the battery where the stock transaxle went.
LL8 with an automatic. (Mind you, I don’t think the LL8 would fit without a huge hood bulge, but it’s the perfect motor for enraging Corvette purists, while being more of a Corvette purist than them. See, the Blue Flame 235 was a truck motor that was put in cars, because the torque was needed for the 2-speed automatic that GM was using at the time. And, that whole powertrain got dropped in the C1...)

My sister-in-law had a ‘49 Chevy pickup with a 351 Cleveland Ford motor installed. Complete with the “351" badges on the sides of the hood.

As an S2000 devoté I would feel more rage at an F20-swapped Vette than an LS-swapped S2K. How dare you, sir?!
![]() 08/22/2016 at 22:09 |

Rotary swap.
![]() 08/22/2016 at 22:11 |

That could be very interesting of done correctly
![]() 08/22/2016 at 22:22 |

I think ford’s new 3.0TT motor from the MKZ would make a great Corvette motor, while driving Corvette purists nuts.
